Co-Teaching in the Learner-Active, Technology-Infused Classroom™

A student-centered setting, such as the Learner-Active, Technology-Infused Classroom™, lends itself to co-teaching. Within this type of learning environment, both teachers have the flexibility to support students at all readiness levels. Co-teaching also presents a rich opportunity for students with special needs to benefit from a smaller teacher-student ratio and a balance of instructional styles.

The Learner-Active, Technology-Infused Classroom™ model promotes the optimal impact of two teachers in the classroom. As students are engaged in individual, paired, and small-group work, both teachers are available to provide support and facilitate learning.

There are four core modalities of co-teaching in the Learner-Active, Technology-Infused Classroom™.

Co-teaching with a small group of students
