Student Responsibility for Learning

Responsibility for learning is foundational to the Learner-Active, Technology-Infused Classroom™. Students self-assess, identify learning needs, make instructional choices, access resources, and schedule their class time to achieve learning goals.

An array of classroom structures and teacher strategies support students in gaining the skills needed to successfully take responsibility for their own learning. As students develop responsibility, they also build executive function skills and gain a deeper understanding of academic content.
