All teachers need support in designing Learner-Active, Technology-Infused Classrooms™; however, the support looks different for each teacher. Consider the following groups:
- Teachers who are struggling with implementation and are open to help - Provide them with a few very clear structures and strategies to implement.
- Teachers who are struggling with implementation but are concluding that this model just doesn’t work for some children - Have them identify what is not working and offer specific structures and strategies that might be missing to make their implementation successful.
- Teachers who are implementing well at a beginning level - Provide them with questions to self assess or jointly assess and set next goals.
- Teachers who are implementing well at an advanced level - Utilize reflective ThinkSheets to engage in a discussion about next steps for increasing rigor, responsibility, and engagement. (Leaders often overlook the “high fliers” because they are doing so well; but these teachers are usually hungry for new ideas.)
